He awoke to a rock hitting the ground, he jolted up feeling himself start in a cold sweat. it wasnt a dream. He glanced over at where the other survivors were, the rock was smaller child who had thrown a rock out of what looked like boredom. Akan placed a hand on his shoulder and sighed trying to release some of the tension before fully standing up and gathering up his kimono, folding it up neatly he placed it back onto the ground where he had slept.
He stretched out a bit looking around and then remembered the human girl, Ceri, was sleeping up in a tree, moving his gaze to the treeline, he saw nothing. frowning for a moment he was pulled away from his own thoughts as a woman tugged on his arm "Excuse me," she started, Akan could feel his muscles tighten as she spoke "you're of fae origin, correct?" Akan felt his skin prickle, this wasn't looking good "you can do magics then, yes?" she asked him, Akan carefully but quickly thought the different answers he could say, he was still weak from the fall, he couldnt waste mana for x or y reason, then the correct answer jumped out at him "Currently I have something i need to attend too," she tried to get another word in before he dismissively waved his hand and turned away "Just try to take care of the situation on your own, surely there are other mages here." he said to the woman as she just stared at him, looking almost defeated.
Why did he care at all? he should have just told her to fuck off like he normally would, maybe he has a head injury. He shook his head and rolled up his sleeves getting to the edge of what they had made as a camp. the first thing he noticed was white slice marks into the bark of the trees, a trail perhaps? he thought as he carefully made his way though the brush and roots.
After a while of following the markings he could hear water, he was thirsty enough he would consider drinking from a creek. He then was starting to think about weather he should risk the chance of getting a disease from drinking the water when he spotted Ceri. His eyes narrowed slightly this is where she got off too. He quietly moved to be closer to her, he observed her from a distance for a few more moments, she seemed almost at home, how savage... he thought to himself i suppose that is to be expected of humans, though i still cant help but feel almost sorry for them.. he then went to step closer, allowing the sun to hit him now that he was out from under the tree line.
Ceri still didnt seem to notice him, human's must be really deaf. he pursed his lips slightly as the idea of scaring her crossed his mind for the second time now, though he decided against it and carefully stepped on a twig to alert her he was there, a few yards back from her.
